For the first time, Taiwan hosted the Asian Productivity Organization's (APO) Eco-Products International Fair (EPIF) from March 13 to 16, 2014 at the Taipei World Trade Center. This successful event gathered more than 200 exhibitors from across Asia and Europe and attracted 17,500 visitors from the trade and public sectors. Just as President Ma Ying-Jeou commented during the welcoming reception, “Many countries are focusing on green growth as the new engine of economic growth. This government is serious in maintaining its standards to comply with those of the United Nations... to establish a green economy.”
